Florence

Benvenuti in Italia - After you land in Rome you'll be heading to Florence with the high speed train. 

After checking in at your hotel (Grand Hotel Adriatico), the balance of the day will be at leisure. Take the opportunity to walk around the city and have a quick glimpse to what you are about to experience.

Tonight, you’ll get to meet your tour leader and the rest of your travel companions over a welcome cocktail.

Florence

Full day excursion to Florence

Today after breakfast you’ll meet your guide and start your exploration with a walking tour of Florence as well as visit of the Accademia Museum with its world renown statue of Michelangelo's David. You’ll also have a chance to visit the historic markets where for centuries local inhabitants do, their daily shopping. Florence is known for its craftwork as well as art, and therefore leaving without either a wonderfully made item of leather or even handmade paper or box (just to name two) it will be almost impossible. At night you’ll have the option to enjoy a superb dinner at a Michelin Star Restaurant such as Enoteca Pinchiorri.

Sep 27th

Lucca

Today after breakfast you’ll head first to Pisa to visit the Miracle square with the famour Leaning tower, you'll then head tto Lucca, renowned for its oval–shaped square and its perfectly preserved medieval walls. The city is known as the City of Art, and it’s preserved Renaissance center. Visit and dinner at la Fattoria del Poggio where the meal will be prepared with local produce and served with their own wine production.

Siena

After breakfast, we’ll head for a full day excursion to the wonderful town of Siena known for its shell shaped central square “Piazza del Campo” and for its pristine renaissance city center standing on top of hill overlooking the beautiful Tuscan hills. In Siena you’ll have a chance to stop at Nannini’s place (one of the most celebrated local Food manufacturers) where you’ll taste the real Sienese sweet treats Panforte, Panpepato and Ricciarelli dating all the way back to the Renaissance.

After your visit to Siena, you’ll head to your cooking class where you’ll learn how to prepare real Tuscan dishes, and you’ll have a chance to taste the fruit of your work during the following dinner.

Sep 29th

Chianti wine country

Full Day Chianti Area Excursion

The time has now arrived for you to visit the beautiful Chianti countryside along with its villages. You’ll visit a number of wineries including Il Palagio (wine estate own by the World renown singer songwriter Sting)  and stop in the charming town of Greve in Chianti where you’ll visit the local historical Butcher Shop Falorni who will walk you through some of the region’s great cold cuts and cured meats, all produced in the area.

Todi and Spoleto

Transfer to your next home in Italy in the heart Umbria in an historical setting surrounded by a bucolic landscape in a former Convent (Hotel Bramante) close to beautiful Todi. After you settle in the Hotel, you'll have the early afternoon to explore Todi on your own before you head to Spoleto. The Borgo of Spoleto is a hidden gems in Italy that blends history, culture, food, and stunning scenery all in one compact, charming hill town, after stroll you'll enjoy a beautiful dinner in the center of town.

Oct 1st

Truffle hunting and more...

Today after breakfast you are going to experience one of the best adventures that Umbria has to offer. The region is known among many things for its precious truffles.  You’ll have the opportunity to spend a few hours with truffle hunters and their trusted dogs whose noses will guide you in your quest for these precious ‘gems”. Afterwards you’ll join a cooking class and enjoy a great meal highlighting the features of the truffles you just harvest.

Oct 2nd

De Ruta and Orvieto

In the morning after breakfast you’ll head to the medieval Borgo of Deruta where you'll learn about the centuries old tradition of pottery making. If something interests you, most of the shops will gladly ship what you purchase back to the States.  Following your visit to Deruta you'll head to Orvieto, on the way you'll stop for lunch and oil tasting experience. Orvieto is the second largest town in Umbria with a majestic Duomo. Here you'll enjoy a beautiful dinner in a typical Umbrian restaurant.

Assisi and Perugia

Today after breakfast, you’ll head to the World Heritage townof Assisi. One the most spiritually inspiring site in Italy, with its extraordinary history and beautiful medieval architecture. Lunch at the Lungarotti winery. The afternoon will be dedicated to visit the capitol city of Umbria, Perugia. You'll enjoy the city many attactions including the historical chicocolate factory of Perugina.

Oct 4th

Rome

In the morning after breakfast you'll check out of your hotel and you'll head to Rome. You'll settle in your hotel room in Rome, and then your day will be at your disposal to visit the eternal city. Finally you'll have the chance cap off this wonderful adventure with the optional celebratory dinner at one of Italy most celebrated restaurant La pergola by the 3 star Michelin restauranteur Hans Beck

End of tour
